Welcome to Spanish

Spanish classes are using audacity.
Spanish 1
The student learns the basic conversational phrases with correct
pronunciation. The student applies this in guided situations of both
speaking and writing. Basic grammar presentations are made with emphasis
placed on learning verb forms of two tenses. Cultural pieces are
incorporated to enable the student to become acquainted with some of the
ways of life and traditions of the various Spanish speaking people.
Spanish 2
A continuation of the learning of more complicated conversational and
grammatical material. Further emphasis is placed on the perfection of skills
in speaking, writing, and reading learned in Spanish 1 More cultural
information is presented in "capsule" form. Usually during the second
semester of the year, each student undertakes the study of a major project,
related to Spanish in some way, but in an area of interest to the student.
After completing two years of Spanish, it is hoped that the student would be
able to visit Spanish speaking country, Find their way around, order a meal
in a restaurant and carry on a basic conversation.
Spanish 3
A continuation of the learning of more complicated conversational and
grammatical material. Much emphasis is placed on the further perfection of
skills in speaking, writing, and reading of Spanish. This course will be
weighted.
