Center- Snaps the ball to the Quarterback to start the play.

Quarterback- The leader of the play on the offensive side. he can run, throw, or hand the ball off.

Running back- runs the ball

halfback-runs the ball and sometimes throws the ball

fullback- runs the ball up the middle

Offensive Guard-plays on the line; and blocks and protects for the person that has the ball

Offensive tackle- plays on the line; and blocks and protects for the person that has the ball

Tight end- on the line; sometimes runs the ball, goes out for passes, and blocks

Receivers- go out for passes

 

 

 

 

Nose guard- on the line and tries to tackle the ball carrier

Defensive guard-on the line and tries to tackle the ball carrier

Defensive tackle-on the line and tries to tackle the ball carrier

Defensive end-on the line  and tries to tackle the ball carrier

Middle linebackers- they are in charge of the defense on field

Outside linebackers- they are supposed to keep the offence from going outside with the ball

Safety- last hope for defense. no one can get passed him or the offence will score
